Physical/ Occupational/ Aquatic Therapies
(Healing Health and Wellness)
By Hima Dalal
Vital Energy Wellness & Rehab center offers occupational and physical therapy services for adult and pediatric patients. Our unique approach to therapy combines traditional and alternative therapies to achieve maximum rehabilitation and wellness for the whole patient. Our facility is equipment with the latest therapy equipment; for example, low-level laser therapy utilizing our Chattanooga five action machine and multiple resistance training and cardiovascular equipment.
Aquatic Therapy – At Vital Energy we have a Hydroworx pool, heated to 92° which has an underwater treadmill, power jets, chair lift, and pressure hose. The buoyancy of water helps relieve pressure on the joints while providing resistance for someone who would otherwise have difficulty with traditional land based therapy. The warm water is soothing to the joints and the resistance allows someone to strengthen their muscles with less pain Aquatic weights (floating weights), used in various therapy movements, can also help to strengthen muscles. The pressure hose allows the therapist to concentrate the flow of the warm water to massage affected muscles.
Manual Therapy – such as myofascial release, craniosacral, and Reiki muscles energy treatment are alternative therapies which are also offered at vital energy.
