 The Dr.Vodder School first brought manual lymph drainage to the USA at a conference in New York in 1972.
Lymphedema is an accumulation of protein rich fluid in the interstitium of the skin caused by insufficiency in the lymph vessel system. Lymphedema can occur at anytime. Some babies are born with this condition if they do not have sufficient lymph system (primary lymphedema).
Some adults may develop lymphedema after cancer surgery and / or radiation or trauma (secondary lymphedema). Here at Vital Energy we treat patients suffering from lymphedema.
